If you haven't made up your mind, we hope that this page will help you make the decision. Indivisible Tri-Valley endorsed Dr Aisha Wahab in April, and Indivisible National endorsed her on July 30.
State Senator Dr Aisha Wahab and BART Board President Melissa Hernandez won both June 2 and June 16 Special Primaries.
We compiled two comparison tables: on endorsements and issues, and posted below. We only listed the elected officials that district members elected for individual endorsement.
In our candidate forum, the infamous Gaza question was brought up by an attendee. Should it be a yes/no question? No, but it was the question. Three out of four candidates gave straight answer, yes. One avoided to answer the question.
Genocide is defined by the United Nations, and its goal is prevention. Without recognizing the problem we will never find a solution. Check out the definition and evaluate if Gaza qualifies to be a genocide.
Before the forum the candidates answered our questionnaires including foreign policy.
Long before the campaign started State Senators Wahab and Wiener wrote a letter to the Biden Administration asking for cease fire effort (Oct 2023), and passed a resolution Gaza: Human Rights (SCR 105, Oct 2025).
It is not hard to find these facts on internet. Yet outside dark money poured into our district CA-14 and filled our airways and mail boxes by negative attack ads against State Senator Wahab.
The following video is one of her responses to the attack. You can see other responses specific to the attacks on her website.
The following articles from East Bay Times and San Francisco Chronicles cover outside money spent in the Special Election. You can see campaign contribution and independent expenditure on Federal Election Commission website. Final report will be available 30 days post election.

On Tuesday August 18, some Indivisible Tri-Valley members joined the Election Night Watch party in Hayward. Dr Aisha Wahab drove from Sacramento and celebrated her early lead with her volunteers and supporters. The atmosphere was electric, and you can watch her speech below.
She is the American Dream, and we can make it better, she said.
She went back to Sacramento the same night for not to miss voting. State legislatures have to pass the bills by August 31, and the Governor has to sign the bills by end of September. It is the busiest and most intense time in the Capitol. She always gives 100% to do her job.
On August 20, the race was called for Dr Aisha Wahab by AP. She won 53% of votes cast.
