Miguel Lopez, a long time resident in Livermore and hard working member of the Tri-Valley community, was illegally abducted by ICE in May 2025 during a routine check in, held at a detention center near Bakersfield, and then deported to Mexico in early June, where he remains today.
Our first rally was on June 4, 2025, and we have been working with the Lopez family and their friends.
Miguel's family continues to hope and pray for his return in time to attend his youngest son's graduation.
Latest Action: On March 17th Miguel’s case was heard before Judge Trina Thompson at the Phillip Burton Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse in San Francisco (Courtroom 9, 19th Floor).
This hearing was important because the court heard the oral arguments in Miguel’s case. Our presence showed the court that Miguel has a strong community standing with him and that this case matters deeply to many people.
Thank you for standing with us as we continue this fight. Our message remains the same: BRING MIGUEL HOME!

Join the Signs of Solidarity team in hitting the streets once a week (Tuesdays at 1:30pm) to canvass local businesses and ask them to post signs of support for our immigrant neighbors. It is time for our local Business Community to stand up against ICE. No experience is needed. Signs, a script, and a brief training are provided and you will be paired with a seasoned volunteer. Sign up and make a difference!

Indivisible Tri-Valley is a member of ICE Out of Dublin Coalition, that has been working to stop ICE detention center in Dublin. We believe that families belong together, and we demand "due process" for all.
On November 18, the coalition visited the Dublin City Council asking for adopting a resolution denouncing possible usage of the closed FCI Dublin as an ICE detention center.
The resolution was passed on December 16th unanimously, with many members living in Dublin spoke and attended the council meeting.
