Indivisible Tri-Valley's Healthcare Work Group advocates at the local, state, and federal level for policies and legislation that will ensure equitable and affordable health care access for all. We are extremely concerned with current attempts to roll back health care rights and access for our most vulnerable populations and to abandon evidence based policies supporting public health.
At Indivisible Tri-Valley (ITV), we organize - building collective power and seizing key moments to create change. The Healthcare Group channels this spirit of organizing into the critical fight for equitable, science-based healthcare access for all. Our work spans different areas of healthcare policy and advocacy, and our interests are shaped by the voices and experiences of our members - your input and participation will define our priorities and fuel our work.
Science & Public Health
We are dedicated to holding public officials accountable and ensuring that health agencies prioritize evidence-based science over ideology, while exposing influences that undermine patient wellbeing. We advocate for equitable public health solutions and support sustained medical research and science education rooted in integrity and honesty.
Patient Rights & Healthcare Access
Healthcare is a human right. We work to remove barriers to care and champion policies that expand and strengthen public programs like Medicare and SSDI. Our goal: universal access to quality, affordable healthcare for all.
Reproductive & Family Rights
We fight for reproductive justice, LGBTQ+ family rights, and policies that protect bodily autonomy and family well-being. We believe everyone deserves care, support, dignity and the freedom to make their own choices free from political interference.
How We Organize:
Staying informed with current healthcare issues, action items, and community events.
Community-Building Events: Connect and stand in solidarity through interest panels, relevant speakers, and mutual support.
Biweekly Team Meetings: Share insights, strategize, and take purposeful action together.
We also have members who work with the Indivisible CA: StateStrong (CASS) coalition, which meets monthly on the first Monday of the month. This coalition prepares to advocate for state-level policies that positively impact all Californians.
