Renee Good, 37, was shot and killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer during a massive federal immigration raid that flooded Minneapolis with more than 2,000 agents. Renee was only blocks away from the home she shared with her wife and her six-year-old child when she was tragically shot. Her wife Becca's statement was fully published in MPR.
Hundreds gathered to mourn Renee Good’s life, to speak the truth, and to demand accountability for state violence on Jan 8 in Pleasanton, and to hold ICE and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) accountable on Jan 10 in Dublin.
Renee was not the first nor the last unless we demand our representatives to stop the unlawful conducts of ICE and DHS. We are not safe if ICE is in our communities. We want #ICEOutForGood. Please make calls today to our senators and congress members.
31 people died in ICE custody in 2025 and counting. Additionally nine people were shot and five were killed by ICE. Say their names.
Thank you for joining the vigil. We thank ProBonoPhoto.org for providing two photographers Guy Cummins and John Weekes. The photos are also on their website ProBonoPhoto.org.
The weekend of January 10-11 was dedicated for #ICEOutForGood actions. Over 200 community members joined at the Peace Corner Dublin to pay respect to Renee Good and all the ICE victims, and to demand Congress to act and stop ICE killing, arresting, and deporting our neighbors without due process. Regardless where we are coming from or how we look, we all deserve justice.
